Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Saikat's World collects, why, and who else handles it. It also explains what you can ask us to do with your information.
1.Who we are
Saikat's World (saikatsworld.com) is run by Alamin Hossain Saikat, 76/2, East Boxnagar, Sarulia, Demra, Dhaka, Bangladesh, who is responsible for your information. Phone: +880 1925-316647.
2.What we collect
- Account: your email address (or phone number, if you log in with one). It identifies your account.
- Orders: the recipient's name, phone number and delivery address; what was ordered, the prices, the payment method and the delivery status.
- Resellers: brand name, National ID (NID) number, photos of both sides of the NID and a selfie, the payout method and account number, and the commission records and support messages that come with a reseller account.
- Reviews and wishlist: reviews you write and products you save.
- Security: your IP address and basic browser information, used to limit repeated login attempts and to check that a real person is using the login form (Cloudflare Turnstile). Our hosting provider also keeps short-term server logs.
- Notifications: if you turn on browser notifications, the address your browser gives us to deliver them.
We don't use advertising trackers or analytics cookies.
3.How we use it
- To log you in: we email you a one-time code. We keep only a scrambled copy that can't be turned back into the code, and the code stops working after 5 minutes.
- To process and deliver your orders, including returns and exchanges.
- To run the reseller programme: checking identity documents to prevent fraud, and paying commissions.
- To keep the shop safe: blocking bots, limiting repeated requests and spotting fake orders.
- To keep the sales records that Bangladeshi law requires.
4.Who else handles it
- Delivery companies receive the recipient's name, phone number and address to deliver the order.
- Resellers see the orders they placed themselves, and nothing about other customers.
- Government authorities, when the law requires it.
These services run the shop for us and use your information only for that work:
- Netlify (USA): hosts the website.
- Supabase (USA): stores the database and uploaded files, on servers in Ohio.
- Resend (USA): sends login emails, and keeps a record of sent emails for a short time.
- Cloudflare: manages the domain and runs the bot check on the login form.
- GitHub (USA): keeps encrypted nightly backups of the database for 30 days.
- Google, Apple or Mozilla: if you turn on notifications, your browser's maker delivers them.
We never sell your personal information.
5.Where it's stored
Our providers' servers are outside Bangladesh, mainly in the United States. Every connection to the site and to the database is encrypted.
6.How we protect it
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS) everywhere, including between the website and the database.
- NID photos and selfies are private: only the reseller who uploaded them and the staff who check them can open them.
- Staff can only open the parts of the admin panel their job needs.
- Backups are encrypted.
7.How long we keep it
- Login codes: 5 minutes. Records used to limit repeated requests: about a day.
- Account and order information: while your account is open, and after that for as long as the law requires us to keep sales records.
- Reseller identity documents: while the reseller account is open. We delete them when it closes, unless we need them to settle a dispute or the law requires us to keep them.
- Backups: 30 days.
8.Cookies
We use a few cookies, all needed for the shop to work:
- Login: keeps you logged in, plus security cookies that protect the login form.
- Cart: remembers what's in your cart.
- Language: remembers whether you chose Bangla or English.
Your answer to the cookie notice is saved in your browser's storage.
9.Your rights
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Call us on +880 1925-316647; we'll reply within 30 days. We may have to keep some records, such as orders, where the law requires it.
To stop notifications, turn them off in your browser's settings.
10.Children
The shop isn't meant for children. If you think a child has given us personal information without a parent's permission, contact us and we'll delete it.
11.Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change is important, we'll also show a notice on the site.
